A Rye Wine is similar to a Barley Wine in style but with copious amounts of rye malt. In the case of Philly Special, this ale is made with just over 1/3 rye malt to give a hearty body and a spicy rye bitterness. Allow this to warm to further accentuate and appreciate the rich rye and barley flavors to this beer.
